Valerie Lim

Valerie wears many hats - business consultant, leadership coach, facilitator, and communication trainer.

Valerie’s corporate experience includes 3 years with the Singapore Economic Development Board and 10 years with Ogilvy & Mather where she served her last 3 years as MD at OgilvyOne & Group Partner of Ogilvy & Mather Singapore. At Ogilvy, Valerie worked with big brands like American Express, IBM, Seagram, Unilever, the CPF Board & Singapore Airlines.

As Managing Director at EMI Music Singapore, Valerie provided leadership and direction to restructure the Singapore office. Her strong leadership helped the company gain significant market share within her 5 years there. Valerie also served as Chairman of the Recording Industry Association Singapore (RIAS) promoting and protecting the rights of the music recording industry of Singapore.

Today, Valerie runs her own business, Innovative Formula, working with organizations to solve problems, improve strategy, structure & operations; and develop leadership & talent to boost business performance. Working with different clients on different projects, Valerie very much enjoys the momentum and excitement that positive change brings.

A native of Singapore, Valerie has lived in the United States and China, allowing her to engage easily with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Valerie has worked with NGOs, like Power Up Gambia & Stepping Stones, in the United States and China during her 8 years living abroad; and with the Centre for Non-Profit Leadership & Mamre Oaks in Singapore, sharing her skills and developing leaders.

Valerie has a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore. She is an ICF Certified Professional Coach (PCC) and a certified facilitator.

Valerie enjoys being around people with a sense of humor, relishes great food, and loves traveling to see the world and all that it brings.
