BC has more than 30 years of senior executive experience leading organizations locally, regionally, and globally. He brings a breadth of experience encompassing strategy development, change management, and strategic partnership. He has pioneered global business models and championed development programs to help younger leaders.

BC began his career at the Singapore Economic Development Board in 1986 and then went on to spend 26 years with E.I. DuPont de Nemours, one of the largest chemical & material companies in the world. He was the first Asian to be appointed President of a DuPont global business. During his tenure at DuPont, BC ran and developed different types of businesses, including some for cash optimization and others for growth or margin improvement.

From 2011-2015, BC was the President of DuPont Titanium Technologies, a multi-billion dollar global leader in titanium dioxide & minerals technology, and also a member of the DuPont Global Operating Team. Under his leadership, DuPont Titanium Technologies experienced a multi-fold increase in profitability. The business was finally spun off from DuPont. After helping the business achieve a separate listing in the New York Stock Exchange, BC chose to retire.

In 2017, as a way of contributing to Singapore, BC accepted the role of President & Chief Executive of the Singapore Turf Club to rethink its future direction and strategy. With the approval of a significant re-positioning plan, BC left the Turf Club at the end of his 3-year contract.

A Singaporean, BC spent more than five years in the USA (2004-2009) and 2 years in Shanghai, China (2009-2011). He is married with 3 children.

BC has a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (First Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore, and an MBA from the Cranfield Institute of Technology.

In this time of non-travel, BC enjoys online shopping and building up his whisky collection.
