Dennis Khoo

Dennis is a seasoned banker with an unrivalled diversity of experience: CEO-Designate in a consortium bidding for the digital bank wholesale license in Singapore, senior leadership roles in both business and consumer banking, and a passion for developing leaders of tomorrow.

Dennis was responsible for the strategy, growth, and delivery of the TMRW digital group in UOB's footprint between 2017-2020. This included the TMRW Digital Bank and Joint-Ventures like avatec.ai and VUI Pte Ltd to build ecosystems to support the growth of TMRW. Dennis built UOB’s Millennial digital bank TMRW (www.tmrwbyuob.com, pronounced Tomorrow) in ASEAN, with the first bank launched in Thailand in 2019, and a second in Indonesia launched in August 2020. In the previous 20 years, Dennis held various management positions in Standard Chartered and UOB, eventually serving as Head of Consumer Banking in both banks.

Dennis has been responsible for many of the best-known innovations in the consumer banking industry in Singapore, such as e$aver, XtraSaver, Retail Bonds, Step-up TD, Pay-AnyCard, 15% Dining cashback everywhere, 2-day Mortgage Service Guarantee, UOB Income Builder.

Dennis holds a degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. He also has a Master’s in Business Research and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.
